Electrical and Instrumentation Installation
Typical electrical and instrumentation installation activities include electrical and instrumentation construction works for hazardous area projects, including new installations, plant extensions, process area upgrades and capital project packages.
- Electrical installation of Ex-rated equipment, including lighting, emergency lighting, small power, isolators, control stations, junction boxes, panels and associated field equipment
- Instrumentation installation for process measurement and control, including transmitters, sensors, switches, analysers, valves, actuators and associated instrument supports
- Installation of cable containment and support systems, including tray, ladder rack, conduit, Unistrut, brackets and equipment support arrangements
- Power, control, signal and instrumentation cabling, including routing, pulling, dressing, identification, segregation and mechanical protection
- Ex glanding, termination, earthing and bonding of electrical and instrumentation circuits in line with hazardous area requirements
- Installation of intrinsically safe systems, including IS cabling, barriers, isolators, marshalling panels, junction boxes and associated control system interfaces
- Modification and upgrade works to existing hazardous area installations, including additional equipment, instrument loop changes, replacement of obsolete assets and process improvement works
- Shutdown, outage and brownfield installation support where hazardous area works need to be delivered safely around operational plant constraints
- Inspection-driven remedial works, Ex defect rectification, close-out of non-conformances and preparation of installations for hazardous area inspection and verification
- Loop checking support, point-to-point testing, pre-commissioning checks, functional testing assistance and handover documentation support
- Site supervision, installation coordination, quality checks, site walk downs and project delivery support by hazardous area competent electrical and instrumentation personnel
